Mathematical Modeling in the Sciences 1
This class is designed specifically for international students. The mathematical prerequisites are kept to a minimum; the class focuses on teaching the student how to formulate a mathematical description of a phenomenon in science using examples from physics, chemistry, biology and medicine.
Content: Analysis of the models is carried out by analytical methods and computer simulation in MatLab. The course is primarily taught through three to four large examples.
